179, 180, 181. THAT HOPEY CHANGEY THING, SWEET AND SAD, and SORRY
As you may know, Richard Nelson's four-play series about the Apple family of Rhinebeck is playing in repertory at the Public Theatre with the same ensemble of actors in each one. I reviewed the final play in the series, REGULAR SINGING, after I saw it on December 1, but reviewers were asked not to cover the other plays, which are all revivals. Therefore, now that I've seen them all, I will place them on this blog for the record and say only that the entire series is brilliantly written, acted, and directed, and that you should try to see as many of the plays as you can.
